Half-way there!

In some respects I can't believe that 5 weeks have elapsed since we started this but then other times it seems like it has gone on forever.  I will be the first to admit I'll be glad when the next 5 weeks are behind us too.

Now I'm already looking ahead to next year when I'm assuming we'll do this again (I like the idea myself, it really helped me take off my holiday weight and then some).   I personally think 6-8 weeks would be long enough, what do the rest of you think?  Especially 8 weeks, that would be long enough, I think, for a few to have lost all the weight they need to and will have given the others who may still want to drop a pound or two a really good start.  Comments?

  1. I like the 10-week format personally since I wanted to drop like 30lbs. 3-lbs a week even is quite a bit. Hopefully next year, I won't need to drop as much. I think maybe we can do the same type of thing, but if you wanted to start later, you could buy in for less (6 weeks-$10, 8 weeks-15$ or something like that) and it would still end at the same time.

  2. I will actually do what everybody else wants to do so if 10 weeks is the popular vote then 10 weeks it will be.

  3. Hmm, tough one. At this point, I am going to have to agree with Jason in that since some of us have quite a bit of weight to lose, 6-8 weeks isn't enough time to lose it. We are half way there and I am not even half way to my goal. But good job to all of you who are already to your goal...Yahoo, that is so great!! However, I better not need to lose this much next year, it will just be holiday weight and so perhaps 6-8 weeks will be long enough next year. I am feeling really motivated by this competition and I don't want it to end. I think it would be cool to come up with a way to do some kind of monthly weigh in to ensure we all keep these pounds off. Any bites on that?

  4. I would be fine with 10 weeks again next year too and I hope we make this a tradition, I have been totally inspired and have had fun with the competition. I had about double the weight I typically had to at the new year so I was really happy that somebody motivated me.

Also, I think the monthly weigh-in thing would be interesting too.
