WOW PEOPLE!!! SIX more days, we are definitely on the home stretch. Before I post the results can I just say, as corny as it sounds, that it's a pleasure competing against you all. Most of you I have competed against before but a few of you are new and it's been "fun" (can you really use "fun" in this case?) having you aboard. I have always felt like we are a very honest bunch who tell the truth about our weight loss (and sometimes gain) no matter what, which is what makes this contest pretty inspirational for me.
Also, my sister-in-law has a good idea for our future competitions that I like and am wondering if anybody is interested. Maybe the initial buy-in would be a bit more ($30.00?) but only pay out at the end of the 8 weeks as if it had been $20.00 and then have everybody check back in about mid year (maybe July) to see who has kept the most weight off and they get the remaining money, something along those lines anyway.
The money will be divided as such next week: First place-$112.00, Second place-$84.00, Third place-$56.00 and Fourth place-$28.00. But even those who don't make it to the money, you have still won and you have still lost!
One last thing, an if nobody wants to do this it is fine but I was wondering if next week when everybody gives me their final percentage you'd give me your total weight lost too so I can tally it all up and let you know our loss as a whole group. We did that one year and it was pretty impressive. When you give me your percentage next week give me at least two numbers past the decimal point as I have a feeling this could be a close contest and it could come down to ounces as far as who the winner is.
